Are you feeling the heat from Tax trouble?
Let’s be honest, no one likes being in trouble especially if you have the IRS on your back. It’s not fun and can totally be stressful. Sometimes the best thing to do is to ask for help and if it’s dealing with taxes, professional help can be your solution/answer to your prayers. Whether big or small it’s always best to have someone on your side who knows the in’s and out’s of the Tax game.
Recently, I had the honor to interview Mary Akhlaghpour, Tax Specialist over at MBA Tax Consultants, and let me be the 1st to tell you, this woman knows her craft.
I was surprised at first to hear how passionate she was about taxes and being able to help people. Literally her eyes were glowing and as she spoke you can totally feel her gravitational pull of how much she really adores helping people.
QUESTION 1: So what keeps you going and why are you so passionate about MBA tax consultants?
“When you own a business especially as a woman, it’s very tough because not only do you have to keep up to stay in business, you also have to keep people wanting and willing to work with you. Because everyday it’s a challenge to not only get the job well done, you have a passion and compassion for people. It’s the challenge that I love because otherwise I’d be bored. And helping people with their tax problems whether it’s negotiating with the federal, the state or city government was always my passion.
I’m a very good negotiator.
I have the passion because I feel the pain for people so it’s comes easy for me to negotiate which is why I have such a high success rate transferring the message to get people to work together and solve the problem to have a much better relationship between tax payer and government agent because in the end we both need each other.”
Her tone was strong, on point and she didn’t blank or hesitate to be straightforward. Definitely someone you want on your side that can be both strong firm and compassionate to be able to serve your needs.
QUESTION 2: How do you go about assisting a new client who let’s say is in a blind with their taxes?
“Usually it starts with a conversation on the phone but I prefer to meet them face to face. We discus what’s their situation to clear the air and from that point I find out what their needs are, the task at hand and how we move forward to solving the problem. I always like to meet the client in person or talk on the phone because the power of a simple conversation is underrated these days. I love to hear your voice because most people’s voices don’t get heard”
It was powerful to hear her words spoken because from my experience most people in business are just out there to get your money as appose to someone who genuinely cares of their clients. These days with technology on the rise, we lose that personal touch because how easily accessible information is at our figure touch. Sometimes we can dig deep down rabbit holes that we get lost with useless distraction.
This is why it is imperative to connect with people especially professionals who can direct us to the fast route to solve problems to not only save time and money but stress.
As humans, we always tend to want to do this on our own rather then ask for help. After hearing Mary’s story I expressed I would have known about her services years ago when my mother was going through tax issues herself. I was too young understand then but I remember the pain, the stress, the devastation my mother was going through. It wasn’t easy to see her go through that all alone with no help and I wish I knew back then what I know now.
